Truganina Early Learning Centre provides five meals each day, including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack. Through careful child care menu planning, we aim to provide wholesome nourishing meals with ingredients that span the five major food groups, focusing keenly on vegetables, fruits and legumes as well as wholegrain cereals that benefit the growth and development of your child.
Our child care menus and recipes have been designed with the nutritional needs of growing children in mind. Special care has been given to meet energy and nutrition requirements for growth and development. In addition to this, our seasonal, four-week rotating menu offers a variety of foods to satisfy the fussiest of eaters.
Through our menus, it is our aim to assist families with creating healthy eating patterns that will last a lifetime by providing children with a range of tasty and nutritious eating options. Information will be shared with you on dishes your child thoroughly enjoys, and recipes will be available so you can create your own at home.
Meal times also offer an important social time for young children and provide natural opportunities to discuss nutrition with children. Educators support independence and autonomy in developing children’s self-help skills.
At Truganina Early Learning Centre, we understand that each child is unique and may require special dietary requirements, whether they be allergies, religious beliefs or personal beliefs. We aim to support all children in our care through our careful child care menu planning. To cater for our families, our recipes are halal and do not include nuts, eggs and beef. Vegetarian options are always available.
